Donis spent her school district career working for San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD), retiring as Human Resources Director after 38 years of service.  Prior to retiring in 2017, in 2014 Donis became the President of the San Diego administrators union (AASD) and was on release time to work at the union and is now the full-time Executive Director of the United Administrators Southern California (UASC) the organization representing school administrators in San Diego, Chula Vista and Sweetwater.  Donis is also on the General Executive Board of the American Federation of School Administrators (AFSA), our national union, and is also the Chairperson of the California Association of Urban School Administrators (CAUSA).  Donis is married to Rick Coronel and their family includes two sons, three daughters, two son-in-laws, a granddaughter and two grandsons.  Donis has a deep commitment to our AASU members and considers the Executive Director position “her dream job!”
